“And when they sound the Qara, the Apostles shall wear their Rastas, which are the holy robes made of Hemp.  For lo: the Rasta is worn during high rituals, and the sounding of the Qara is a high ritual, indeed.  And when the Apostles sound the Qara in each town, their heads shall be dressed in white wraps; for the prayer shawls, like Rastas, are worn at high rituals.  And this is not to say that Nasareans may not wear the Rasta and prayer shawl at other times, but that at high rituals this garb is specified.”

DESIGN NOTES:‍ ‍

-In Chapter 38 of The Holy Godspell, there is a description of a single man “ripping” the robe from Magdalene during a group attack, which implies that the Rasta robe is not parted down the center as in a bathrobe, which would be easy to remove, and not necessary to rip. This infers the robe is more likely in the style of a tunic which must be pulled over the hands and head.  For this reasoning, this design for a Nasarean Rasta is styled as a long-hooded tunic, with length and flowy elements of a robe.  The reference is found in Chapter 38:5 of The Holy Godspell.

-Rastas are references as being both able to use in martial arts and for wedding ceremonies in The Holy Megillah. While it’s possible there are different styles of Rastas used, this design is ultimately aimed to be functional for martial arts & beautiful for ceremonial contexts.
